In my opinion, while the recent positive developments between India and China send a strong signal to countries like the USA, we should approach this cautiously. Although India’s neutral stance toward Russia and renewed engagement with China might raise concerns in the West, we should focus on understanding China’s long-term strategies rather than just short-term gains.
The global landscape is already dealing with multiple crises, and if China were to invade Taiwan, it wouldn't be surprising. China is well aware that current US political sentiment favors Trump, who would likely adopt a tougher stance on China if he returns to power. So, before conditions potentially worsen, China appears to be making moves to correct past missteps and assure its neighbors.
For India, maintaining our multi-alignment policy is crucial. We shouldn't lean too far toward China or the USA. As Buddha taught, the middle path is often the wisest; India should keep its options open and pursue the cohesive vision laid down by our forefathers.
